I worked on the genetic architecture of diabetes with Dr. Kyle Gaulton when I was an undergraduate at the University of California, San Diego. I then received my Ph.D. in Human Genetics from the University of California, Los Angeles, where I studied the evolutionary conflict between host and viral proteins in the Melody Li Lab. In the Huai-Kuang Tsai Lab, I am interested in using machine learning approaches to better understand the innate immune response. Besides doing science, I love writing book reviews, learning languages, watching silly anime, and eating ice cream.
